eBay: Going Once, Going Twice, Going Green!

Calling one and all: companies that had no intention of being green, but realized, hey, why not join in this eco-party and cash in?

Some may think I’m being cynical, but whether a company’s original agenda was being earth friendly or not, it doesn’t hurt to promote yourself as a “greenie” if you fall into the category, honestly.  A month prior to Earth Day, eBay is now promoting their environmentalism.  Alan Marks, senior vice president for global communications at eBay, explains that eBay’s earliest business model wasn’t intentionally “green.” Think about their philosophy: reselling old, unwanted items “rather than making new stuff reduces carbon emissions that go along with production.”

    There are many companies that need a wake up call.
    It’s in our and their best interests to be “Earth Friendly”.
    Reselling old can help those in need, as well as being good for the environment.
